This month I started writing a bi-weekly food column for the Traverse City Record Eagle. The idea sprang from a desire to share both what I know about cooking and what Jess knows about growing and also to inspire people to cook with food from their local market. Throughout the season I will be focusing on a piece of produce (or other food item) and showing two different ways to prepare it. Along with these cooking techniques will be notes on how the food is grown and what to look for when buying it at the market.
I'm incredibly pumped to be working on this project and am thankful to the Record Eagle and to Nate Payne for providing me this platform.
